Your time is just as valuable.


We all know people who cannot keep to schedules.  People who are perpetually late to every engagement, whether social or professional.  When they do arrive, there's a "Sorry I got held up with… <insert excuse here>".

Without verbally saying it, what they're communicating to you is this:
"My time is more valuable than yours".

Sometimes I find it good to remind myself of this fact, because then I do myself a favour and snap out of just accepting that some people are always late. Then, I can take corrective action to reassert my time as being just as valuable as everyone else's.
